David, you're right - I also wonder how stable the objects inside would be without a solid surface. I'd be interested to find out the qualities of the joints the designer used on either side. Cool look, though, either way.
Yeah, this is an innovative idea and is executed very cleanly. I just kind of cringe thinking of how this would mangle my paperback books if they were standing vertically.
This is a neat idea. It totally seems like any material that would be stretched that far and bear any load would quickly degrade though.
