Here is a designer I found that took on a similar task of creating a plywood chair. There are several other designs in her portfolio that mimic the simple furniture/sculptural aspect we are trying to achieve with our first projects. It was refreshing to see well designed pieces made out of the same material that we are using in class. Alas, there is hope!

It is very interesting to see how the very act of bending wood can change fundamentally the way we approach the process of building with it. In this case, no screws or bolts required. Question is, how comfortable is the chair?
